That's right! Aki Takahashi of Ten Ten Canada and Kyle Abbott of Bachido will be leading yet another shamisen workshop at the Asano Taiko in Torrence at 2pm!
Just like the two No.Cal workshops, this workshop will start with a 30 minute performance of minyo and tsugaru pieces, followed by a 1.5 hour hands-on workshop. We will be teaching the basics of playing shamisen, and guiding everyone through the first section of a traditional tsugaru folk song, Kuroishi Yosare Bushi, concluding with a group improvisation to have fun and try what we've learned! This workshop has instruction for everyone of all skill levels, and especially beginners! Bring your shamisen and friends!
