OVERVIEW: Taiko set is a style using 2 or more drums with different pitches. Multi-drum taiko set is not a traditional style in playing taiko, but is said to be developed with Daihachi Oguchi's introduction to the kumi-daiko style. It is a fun but difficult way of playing taiko when one person plays both high and low pitch drums on a set. The multi-drum taiko set gives a boost in a rhythmic ensemble group, and is most popular amongst Kodo songs like "Zoku" and "Nanafushi".
