Vivian's Exercise
(1) Back Knocks
-- Bachies in hand, face the mirror. Stick your left arm straight out, pointing at yourself reflection. The right arm is next to you, pointed at the ground. Swing your right arm up to click your left bachi, knocking it up. Leave your right arm straight pointing at yourself reflection, as your left arm circles behind you. The left arm completes its circle by clicking the right bachi, knocking it up. In the same velocity as your left arm, the right arm circles behind you as the left arm is straight pointing at yourself reflection. Repeat 4x (2 circles on each arm).
(2) Front Knocks
-- Bachies in hand, face the mirror. Stick your left arm straight out, pointing at yourself reflection. The right arm pointed at the ceiling. Swing your right arm down to click your left bachi, knocking it down. Leave your right arm straight pointing at yourself reflection, as your left arm circles in front of you. The left arm completes its circle by clicking the right bachi, knocking it down. In the same velocity as your left arm, the right arm circles in front of you as the left arm is straight pointing at yourself reflection. Repeat 4x (2 circles on each arm).
Things to Remember
-- Think of it as the transfer of energy: when the active bachi clicks the dormant bachi, it transfers all its energy and momentum to the dormant bachi. Therefore, the dormant arm starts moving with the same velocity, as the former active arm stays completely still after the click.
-- The dot of the bachi's head when pointing at your reflection is where your other bachi's head wants to end. You don't want your bachi to wobble up/down when you "transfer energy"
-- The arms are always straight, but your grip on the bachi is somewhat loose. You want the head of the bachies to "drag" instead of having it a solid extension of your arm.
