Misc Group: IK11 Ensemble Fundamentals

Course Description: The Ensemble Performance Course is designed to build a foundation for performing in a multi-player taiko ensemble. Each class will begin with drills for building strong timing. Fundamental techniques for playing a wide range of taiko (shime, naname, odaiko, beta) as well as percussion (atarigane, hyoshigi, shakers) will also be covered. Participants can expect to gain an understanding of how to play a wide range of taiko styles, percussion instruments, and how the sounds work together.
