Course Description: If you’ve had little or no experience playing the Odaiko, this course is the perfect opportunity for you. This course will cover the basic mechanics such as grip, stance, and stroke. Over the duration of the course, participants will learn drills and exercises that:
improve sound quality
improve rhythmic accuracy
create dynamic form
fine-tune performance mechanics
reduce the risk of injury
The course will culminate in a performance of “Agari Yatai” composed by Yoichi Watanabe of Amanojaku.
