The World Taiko Gathering battle is coming... July 20, 2014!
The Rock Solids are the super-funky, ready-for-anything backbeat players for Matsuri Crasher's battles. The Rock Solids know the battle structures inside and out, and have the skills necessary to support the soloist in the high-energy atmosphere of the battle. This fast-paced course prepares students for the Rock Solids LATIdama evaluations (providing the potential for participating in the Rock Solids at the World Taiko Gathering battle) and is also suitable for soloists seeking to deepen their understanding of the structures and battle culture.
Participants in this course learn the Matsuri Crashers structures, while developing the rhythmic and hand-dexterity skills necessary to play confidently and musically. From the classic "ten tsuku tsu ken" basebeat of the "405" structure to the polyrhythmic, four-vs-three basebeat of the "134", students learn challenging drills and exciting music.
