-Flared Yatai Bayashi-style hinoki (cypress) bachi for chudaiko.
-Tapered hinoki (cypress) or hou (magnolia) bachi for shimedaiko.

Class syllabus: 

Breakdown/Content:
-Shime-age (getting better!)
-Bow In
-Bura-Bura Style warm-ups

Shimedaiko:
Introduction of shibori as well as explanation of nuance and how the ji changes.
-Squeeze right before impact, relation to isolated strikes.
-Turn On/Off 'Shibori' style
-Hitting drill with partners hands on shoulder blades.
-Discussion: At individual level and group level, what happens when you use shibori? What doesn't happen?

-Chudaiko:
Added Do Kon-Kon-Ko Don (DO-KON [su] dorodoro Don)x2

Reviewed:
-How to get up/how to get down from shimedaiko and chudaiko covered -> Forward pressing on leg or outside edges of feet.

Guided uchipanashi: Approximately 20 minutes continuous.
