You can play the whole piece by yourself or with others.

  3. You can perform your parts with "yoyuu" (headroom)
  4. You can handle playing your parts faster and slower than standard speed.
You can handle challenging performance environments, with limited space or difficult accoustics, for example.

  5. You understand the structure and relevant terms of the piece to facilitate arrangement.
  6. You can write the names of the sections and phrases, and are familiar with the jiuchi patterns.

  7. Extra credit - you bring a unique musical skill or idea to the piece
  8. You have a unique, performance-ready phrase or compositional element that will potentially be useful.
You have an artistic vision for the piece and bring realistic suggestions for improvements.
