Most importantly, possessing the LATIdama means that you are rehearsal ready when called upon to prepare for a performance.

Specifically, players should be able to:

  • demonstrate familiarity with the structure of the piece
  • execute all the patterns with 90% accuracy acceptable timing - 130BPM
  • be able to confidently solo within the Omiyage Solo Structure
  • listen to the ji while playing with acceptable timing - 130BPM

Requirements:

  1. Run through of whole piece
  2. Play one whole solo
  3. Play all parts for River Section
  4. Sing combined Shime/Chu kuchishoga while playing the chudaiko part for A-Extended
