Basic Technique
Review stance & grip
Practice small strikes
- Focus on grip, bachi path, evenness, and relaxation
Practice medium strikes
- Focus on elbow position and generating speed ("throw the bottom of the bachi")
Practice big strikes
- Focus on extended, smooth drawbacks and pulling straight down toward the drum
- Relaxed body strike technique -- hit fast, not hard

4-8-16 with feedback on kata and sound production
