E-mail From Host:
Thank you for agreeing to perform at this year’s South Bay Festival of the Arts.
Your band will be performing on the Torino Plaza stage.
Here is the actual address: Southbay Festival of the Arts
At the Torrance Cultural Arts Center
3330 Civic Center Drive, Torrance, CA 90503
(cross streets Madrona and Torrance Blvd.)
Time: The event starts at 11am and runs to 5pm
Your performance time is from: 11:15am to 11:30am
Please arrive in time to set up and be prepared to take the stage promptly at your designated start time.
BACKLINE – There will be no backline provided. All performers are expected to bring their own props, instruments, costumes, etc.
DRESSING ROOMS – Both choir dressing rooms will be available for performers. Please understand that you will be sharing this space with other performers. It is recommended that you not leave any valuables unattended. If you need to leave something backstage while you perform, it is recommended that you leave it in the greenroom where there will be staff in attendance. Please know that we can not be responsible for any lost or stolen items.
TECH – Due to the fact that many performers are back to back, we will not have time to do a full sound check for each group. Please know that our techs are good at what they do and you shouldn’t run into any issues.
SOUND – If you are using tracks for your performance, please send them as soon as possible to cwolf@torrancearts.org. We will upload them into the system which will make it a lot easier for you the day of show. We do recommend that you bring a copy of your music on a thumb drive or CD as a backup.
PARKING – Due to limited space behind the Armstrong Theatre, there is no parking permitted in the backstage area. However, if you have large instruments or props to load in, you can pull up to the loading dock to load in or out. Once you have unloaded, you will need to move your vehicle to make room for others.
HOSPITALITY
Please know that there is hospitality available for you in the Greenroom of the Armstrong Theatre. Please help yourself! If you have any food allergies or special dietary restrictions, let our hospitality coordinator, Susan Lyon know and she will plan accordingly. Susan can be reached at (310) 488-2222 or susan_a_lyon@yahoo.com
YOUR HOST
Your stage host will be Christopher Hart. He will introduce you and thank you at the end of your set. If there are any issues or if you need to fill please let Christopher know.
