Bachi:
- Grip

- Straight vs Bendy bachi (where does the tip of bachi point to, before striking)

Playing "Festively"
Think of what a festival means to you; everyone has different interpretations
(Note: the loud fan was on with wind blowing in the room, and Masa thought it was nice as it helps with getting out of the "classroom" setting)

Practice Ogi Matsuri Daiko rhythms with "customized style" + "festive" mood
- Self Practice
- Show each other / listen to your own phrasing & sounds to see if it feels and sounds good to you

Self Practice / Rhythm Creation
See attached image
- Focus: rhythms and sounds that sound/feel good to you
- Then, naturally the style will come along!?
- Goal: to be "recognizable"(?) from the rhythms that it's you playing

-Self Practice
-Show each other / listen to your own phrasing & sounds to see if it feels and sounds good to you

Homework
#1: Find habits and routines in your life / ask yourself "why"
#2: Something you're super passionate about (anything: music? pets? activity? family? work? volunteer?) that defines who you are / ask yourself "why do I like this thing so much?"
