Welcome
- introductions: name, favorite taiko piece
- explanation of Jack Bazaar prep for Recital
-- 12-stamp card for 8 hours before Recital and 4 after
-- The performance is just the motivator for the practice. The practice is the value.
Teach Arrangement
KARC - (Alex), (Blaine), Doreen, Manman, Sasen, (Sharon) (in piece but not attending today)
CRONKITE
- Doreen - Cronkite A ("jyan dago dan dan" x2)
- Sharon - Cronkite B ("jyago dan jyago dan jyan dago dan dan")
- Sasen - Cronkite C ("jyan dagodago dan" x2)
- everyone - Cronkite D to end
JACK BAZAAR - all Karc players plus Chris, Jasper, Evelyn?
I initially thought we wouldn't have enough drums for everyone but it looks like it will be possible to have the Karc team start by themselves and have the additional Jack Bazaar people join during Cronkite.
Cold run
- answer questions
6 min practice time
- no jiuchi needed
- help where needed
Karc-tronome practice
- each player picks whether they want to practice Karc or a phrase of Cronkite, Jack Bazaar
- give each player the feedback they need
- then have both the Karc and Cronkite/JB players practice simultaneously (Karc serves as the metronome)
final run with jiuchi
