nagado bachi (usually larger diameter, harder "kashi" wood)
earplugs

Class syllabus: 

Teach 2 new movement patterns
-4 min copy/learn
-playback individually
-learn movements broken down

Review M1-4 normal in randomized order

Review M/2 in randomized order

Create 4em length phrases comprised of M/2 patterns
-playback together

Challenge game:
-one player plays one em phrase, chooses 2nd random phrase. Next player plays the last player's 2nd em phrase, plays new random em phrase
-repeat using only M/2 phrases

Individual time to create new M1-4 with own movements

Challenge game w/ new movement patterns:
-each player plays their new movement phrase twice, everyone else responds twice, next player plays their movement phrase twice, everyone else responds twice, repeat

Learn each other's movement patterns broken down:
-notes on how to make movements more efficient when going to the next strike, etc.
-diff. approaches to options vs. choices

Play new M1-4s in order with everyone's combined movements:
-everyone happened to choose different patterns to work on
-Taka (M1), Stacey (M2), Andres (M3), normal M4
