Thank you to all who participated in LATI's first Taiko Talks. Inspired by discussions with fellow-taiko-teacher Blaine O'brien, the session addressed pedagogy questions posed by the attendees, and shared Taiko Teaching Tips prepared by O'brien and LATI staff.
There were many great ideas shared by teachers, along with useful feedback from students. The discussion moved between the philosophical aspects of taiko teaching and hands-on, practical, how-to. All this talk of taiko teaching has me particularly excited about my new courses (nine of them!) starting in early February!
While I audio- and video-recorded the session, without a camera operator and mics on all the participants, I'm sorry to say that my recordings are fairly unusable. Instead, here are the Tips we discussed, plus a few more for fun!
