What an amazing week!
I woke up early this morning thinking about all the little mistakes I made in the battle. I want to do it again! The good news is, we will!
The battle has really inspired me to focus on my stance and strike. As I try challenging structures like the 101 and complicated choreography in the craziness of that battle situation, I'd like to have a stronger foundation that will pull me through. I'm excited to be teaching a naname fundamentals course with a new approach: pinpointing essential elements of form, developing the sensitivity to understand success/failure, and practicing for the dexterity necessary for control. My new beta fundamentals course is going to dive into the mechanics and timing of the strike, with the goal of unifying participants to play an amazing group oroshi for use in the first-annual Bachi BBQ. This is going to be fun!
Join me and build this foundation!
