- Review patterns
- Discuss and practice switching lead hand
- Practice consistency of strikes in terms of tempo and sound quality
Copycat exercise
- Serial sticking
- Even strikes
- Controlling articulation (loud vs. soft) and placement of quiet hits
- Syncopation and methods to practice, such as stepping or counting while playing
- Take turns calling with copycat patterns
- Try with swing jiuchi!
Homework:
16s Drill or "Similar to 16s Drill" - play on a pillow to build wrist strength and stick control
