nagado bachi (usually larger diameter, harder "kashi" wood)
earplugs

Class syllabus: 

Opening:
- name, pronouns
"name one activity or practice that grounds you."

Warmup
- 2 min mindfulness breathing
- exhalation full body rotation and release
- controlled articular motions (head to toe)

2 mins drum roll
taking turns mountain; 2 min doko, 2 min large strikes

Alignment and Drumrolls
Stance exercise: start with straight legs, narrow base 4-8-16-32 and gradually increase base of support - then play around with knees flexed vs. extended

Nidan drill: weight shifting, use of support from the ground to generate momentum; main pattern for "yodan"?

pattern 1 (review): play around with R vs. L hand strike
