What a crazy fun weekend! Are you ready for another?
New shipments, returning instructors, workshops, and performances!!
Join LATI staff and students next weekend for a day of biking and taiko!
Sunday, Oct 6, a group of us will be riding from Asano Taiko US towing a small set of drums to downtown Los Angeles to participate in CicLAvia. The event opens major streets in Los Angeles to biking, skating, and walking. It's one of my very favorite LA events.
Asano Youth Classes at LATI have begun! I started playing taiko at the age of 7 and it has been a huge and beneficial part of my life. Being a member of a youth taiko organization like Zenshin Daiko and growing up with a bunch of other kids the same age as me who also enjoyed taiko helped me make life-long friends. I learned taiko, discipline, but most of all found a passion that I will keep with me for the rest of my life. Everything that I have learned since the beginning has stuck with me 'til this day, such as confidence and working hard in everything I do.
Are you ready?! The new courses at LATI are starting this week!
Have you looked at the new 12-week courses yet? There are two courses with a special!!
So much to do! So much to learn!
My desk is cluttered with tasks to do for the facility and for my classes. Although it feels a little intimidating to have so much on my plate, I must say, I have never felt more motivated! Being a full-time taiko student at LATI is incredible. It is overwhelming at times, especially since I'm diving into these six courses halfway through but I cannot express how happy and grateful I am to be doing it all.
After a successful and productive biking trip, Yuta and I finished our first flyering trip!
Next week begins LATI Primer Week, free taiko lessons every day on beautiful taiko instruments, playing exciting taiko music!...
At this very moment, LATI is busy busy busy~
